Review: The Eleaf Tance vs. the Juul
The Juul has become the standard for pod devices due to its popularity. Meanwhile, the Tance is one of the latest pod devices from Eleaf, and it has a lot of exciting features. In this post, we’re going to compare both devices to see how they tally up against one another.
The Juul measures 95mm by 15mm by 7mm while the Tance measures 95mm by 14mm by 24mm. They are designed differently. The Juul is shaped like a long pen drive while the Tance has rounded corners and a flattened mouthpiece.
The Eleaf Tance has a 580mAh built-in battery. On the other hand, the Juul has a 200mAh battery. Understandably, the Tance battery has more than twice the capacity of that of the Juul. However, both device charge up quickly and they do not support pass-through so you cannot vape while these devices are plugged in and charging.
Just like the Juul, the Eleaf Tance does not have any buttons and is draw-activated. There is an LED light on the body of both devices which serves as a battery life indicator – a green light shows when the battery life is good, and red when the battery is about to die. Both the Eleaf Tance and the Juul charge up pretty quickly. The Juul has a magnetic charging system while the Tance comes with a Type-C USB cable for charging. The Tance has a maximum wattage output of 10W while the Juul has a maximum wattage output of 12W.
The Juul comes with pre-filled pods which can hold 0.7ml of e-juice. On the other hand, the Eleaf Tance comes with refillable pods which can hold 2ml of e-juice. You can use the Tance to vape either nicotine salts or freebase nicotine e-liquids. Like the Juul, the Tance pod stays firmly fixed on the battery due to the magnetic connection that holds them together. Juul pods come with either a 0.7ohm or 1ohm coil.
Meanwhile, the Eleaf Tance has a 1.2ohm coil. Both devices are leak proof. You do not have to throw away your Juul pod once it runs out of e-juice. On the other hand, you simply need to refill the Tance pod when you run out of e-liquid.
While the Eleaf Tance supports adjustable airflow (using either dual 1mm or 1.6mm holes), the Juul does not support adjustable airflow. Both devices give you a restricted mouth-to-lung (MTL) draw.
Overall, the Eleaf Tance is just as good as the Juul. It gives you a bit more control over your vaping experience, and it is cheaper. The Juul costs about $49.99, while the Tance is going for $23.19 to $27.60 at eleafworld.com.
