Variable Wattage is one of the more advanced features that you can find on modified devices today. Many prefer this over Variable Voltage, because no matter what atomizer, cartomizer or tank you put on your device, the variable wattage will adjust to the Ohm’s they are and you’ll receive the same vape each time.
(With variable voltage, depending on the Ohm’s of your atomizer/cartomizer, the wattage may fluctuate.)
With Variable Voltage or VW for short; the user chooses a watt level (for vaping it means heat), generally by a potentiometer or button for digital adjustment. The variable wattage module then reads the atomizer or cartomizer Ohms and automatically adjusts the volts and amps (hundreds, perhaps thousands, of times each second) to maintain the user chosen watts level (heat in vaping).
You’lle find variable wattage being used in devices, like the Darwin, Stallion, eVic, Zmax and iTaste SVD among many others.
