What Is Direct Dripping?
Direct dripping is a term used when you directly drip e-liquid into an atomizer. Direct dripping originated from the 306 type atomizer. This atomizer has an exposed metal bridge.. With this atomizer, electronic cigarette users made a drip tip. The drip tip was originally made so that without pulling off the mouth piece, you could directly drip onto the atomizer.
The drip tip has played a huge role in the e-cigarette industry and direct dripping has followed along with it. Now direct dripping is common with all atomizer users. The 510 type atomizer, which is the most used, has recently adapted direct dripping these past few years (atomizer cartridges are no longer used). In fact, a drip shield was created to work as a catch system for e-liquid.
When using hardware such as a cartomizer, you don’t direct drip. Cartomizers have a filler inside, you pour e-liquid into the filler, then the filler acts as a wicking system.
