Blu Cigs Original Starter Kit Review
Blu’s packaging and presentation hasn’t changed a bit, which is a good move on their part. If it’s not broken, don’t fix it. Classy package that calls out to their certifications and lists what’s inside the box as well. They’ve also maintained the helpful “start here” sheet that’s great for new ecig users.
The battery in Blu’s kit seems to be the same as well. It’s overly sensetive, and goes off too easily. Shake it, or even blow across the top of the indicator light and it kicks on. The good thing is that Blu has changed to a 2 piece design and gotten rid of the seperate atomizer and cartridge. This helps with the responsiveness of the cartomizer itself, and warrants an improved score.
The vapor itself has improved dramatically with the switch to 2 pieces rather than 3. It’s responsive, and gives a good amount of vapor with a smoothe drag. However, the flavor still lacks compared to other brands. Compared to their old kit though, it is improved since there is no longer a problem with holdover of flavors if you’re using multiple different carts.
Overall (Not An Average) 3.5/5
Blu has joined a higher level of ecigs as far as performance goes, but flavor lacks a lot. The price point is the same, which is a little higher than some other comparable kits, but at least it’s a better product than previous versions. The charge pack is a nice inclusion, but it was there before so it’s not an improvement. Blu has just a little more work to do, but I’m definitely impressed with their changes.
