Are Box Mods Taking Over?
Box Mods were once the past time of vaping; a time where the name “mod” originated. Rewinding back to the days of where many advanced vapers were called “modders” and devices were actually built by the consumers of the market, and not purchased from a vendor or manufacturer. Since box mods are smaller, and have the ability to accept a full range of internal circuitry while also maintaining a large battery, box mods were the go to shell for those looking to get more out of e-cigarette use. It was just easier, and made more sense.
However, as manufacturers took over the market, they began creating a multitude of tube mods, which is how the large portion of box mods began to slip away. Indeed, there was a good while that box mods tried to make its way back to the throne and succeeded, but only to be pushed back down. Some of the mods that made a difference was the Vapage Mod, Revolution, and who can forget the Rio – just to name a few. Unfortunately, tube mods crept up and the market then became flooded with eVic’s, LavaTube’s and such.
If you’ve been keeping up with my latest posts, I just spoke about history repeating itself, not long ago. Now, it’s done just that once again with the latest boom of box mods that rest in our over-packed vape market.
