Looks pretty simple. Did I try it? Yes -- took all of about two minutes. Did it work afterwards? Yes. Should you try it? That's up to you, but don't blame me if you honk it up!

Great how-to:

Yeah I watched this video a while back. I was thinking I might do an engine turn finish on mine some day.

The other day I dropped mine and looks like I cracked the lens, so I may have to pull it apart to glue the thing back together some time soon.

Also sherfz... Home poweder coating kit? I've never seen one. I think I'd rather bring it to someone else and have them do it. Powder coating is cheap, I imagine buying an electrostatic sprayer is not. But I love naked SS.

ya they are kinda new. they come with a decent sprayer and the hook up for the electricity to the metal, so then you shoot it and bake it. you dont want to use your normal oven to bake it cause the smell and it will never come out. but ya man i do rims and motorcycle parts all the time. me and a few guys went in together on the kit and oven. now we just buy the powder.

Hey well maybe you should offer your services ;)

I'd probably just bring it to the body shop down in town. So can you get a matte powder that will give you the nice finish like an ego has?

Would love to have a powder coated one. Cant see the wife letting me replace mine if she knew I messed it up, just because I wanted it pretty. lmao

That would be great. I love the black finish on eGos and it would be magnifique to have it on a Vamo....

Once you scratch an eGo, forget about it. Gotta be careful with that soft finish paint.

Oooooo powder coating does sound like a nice idea. It would probably look pretty sexy in just about every color. I'm lazy though, I may get a wrap for it eventually but once again, I'm lazy.
