Ok, so here is my question: why does my juice turn dark in my CE4 after I fill it, but not in the bottle? The juice has been steeping for at least a week. Thanks.

Two things : heat (from the coil) and gunk on the coil mixing with the liquid in the ce4.

Ok, so is this a sign that the CE4 is on its way to the circular file?

Not necessarily. Does it have a replaceable coil?

Not that I know of, its a CE4 not the CE4+, so I really don't know. I do clean them with vodka between flavors and such, and wait till they dry to use them again.

Not sure what kind of CE4 you have. If the bottom part unscrews, you can remove the tank portion, remove the silicone piece from the top of the coil and rinse it out in water.Blow out excess water and dry the exposed wick with a paper towel and and placeit on your battery. Pulse it until it glows for a second. Repeat until it stops smoking. The gunk on the coil will turn to ash. You can just blow it off or rinse it again. Dry the wick if you rinse it. reassemble fill and vape.

Those wicks in the CE4s and similar seem to suck up the lighter (meaning less dense but also usually lighter in color) parts of the juice first, leaving behind nicquid that is more dense (and usually darker).

Thanks guys. I have yet to see if these particular CE4's (came with a kit) come apart. Been to busy vaping with one while cleaning the other. From what I have on the web, and compared to what I have, the ones I have don't come apart. But that is only what I can tell by the pictures. Once a get a few more, I will attempt to take one of these apart and find out. Whether it breaks or comes apart, I will know then.

I don't believe the CE4's come apart or have replaceable heads but I used to clean my with Vodka. Once you switch to using clearomizers that do have replaceable coils most people prefer the EVOD or Kanger T3 or a Vision Vivi Nova Tank.
