funny thought, huh? vaping is scary, look at you with your big mod (ego and kanger LOL) blowing out vapor…
i have noticed no matter who you vape around, besides at a meet, you are going to “scare” someone. A smoker that thinks you are sticking a light saber or marital aid in your mouth. Then the smoker is wondering why you don’t just smoke a “real” cigarette and get sick like the rest of them.
Now to the non-smoker. They way have know you as a smoker, and when they see you put that “thing” in your mouth, they may snootily say “I thought you quit”. Oh, and then the random non-smoker… OMG, what is that??? SMOKE??? GROSS, you can’t do that!
This might sound discouraging, but it’s probably what may happen to you….
The good news is, you may get one of those people that wants to quit smoking, or wants to help a friend quit smoking, and that makes it all worth it!
It is worth all of it!!

I already vape openly. I rarely have anyone say anything to me, as if I’d care anyway. If it were a smoker, i’d try to convert them. if its a non-smoker, I’d just tell them i hope they enjoy the smell of banana nut bread, lol. But seriously, it does kinda look like a marital aid!
I vape openly but never bring my mod out. I did that once and the conversations that ensued every time I pulled it out where more of a pain in the ass then trying to get a cheap ody clone from hoosier vapes to work when they send you one ody clone built from two different model ody clones then tell you its because of a washer you didn’t get in the kit.

As much as my wife hates it, I try to pull attention to myself so I can explain what the deal is. Although I do feel a bit funny with my VAMO, it is more intimidating that an EGO battery… it’s much easier trying to convert people with an ego battery as opposed to something that might look like a metallic stick of dynamite… I love it regardless.
Lol, I even know vapers who are scared when they see me vape. My next door neighbor was the guy that let me take a too of his Blu disposable which led me to try it myself. Now he’s moved up to a rechargeable mini, and sees me with an ego and thinks it’s a bit much. I’ll be over there for the Superbowl, but I’m not sure I’ll bring my VAMO.

Publicly vaping hasn’t had a negative affect yet for me that is.
I haven’t had anyone say anything to me yet, but I’ve only used a 510 starter kit so far. I think if I ever start getting a bigger pv I probably won’t use it anywhere someone would bother me about it except maybe on my drive to work.

I’ve definitely gotten some looks when using my Provari and tank or RBA but I usually don’t get comments. The two incidents that come to mind are one when I was stop at a light and a kid on a bike in the crosswalk said to his friends, “hey that guy is smoking a bong”. The other is when my wife and I were walking out of a medical building and one of the two nurses sitting on the curb saw us and started coughing when we walked by smoking. Ridiculous because we weren’t even close to them and IT’S NOT SMOKE!
