Vaping has become an addiction all on it’s own. LOL

I recently started vaping again since having a bad run in a few years back with a store bought E-CIG. Needless to say there are thousands of more products on the market today than there was a few years ago. Now you have choices between mechanical and Variable Voltage.Β  Each of them have their advantages and disadvantages. Plus there are so many to chose from regarding size, height and just about everything else you could imagine. I personally like the Ego when I am fishing because if I happen to drop it in the water I won’t be disappointed.

My goal is to have 20 Mechanical and 20 Variable Voltage by the end of the year. To me it’s like collecting and who knows what the value of some of these will be in the future. I promised myself that I would budget this like I do everything else from bills to monthly spending money, but it is tough to do when you run across a co-op and can save over 90% from a product.

I am also getting into the RBA’s and will be making my own coils and more than likely my own MOD’s. There is actually a lot of money to be saved when you can build your own things especially coils. When clearo’s and such start costing over a $1.50 a piece it makes sense to build your own coils for your tanks or drippers for pennies on the dollar versus shelling out the cost and shipping fee’s.

Anyways, my name is Chris and I am a VAPOHOLIC!

I still think we need Vapoholic chips like AA has but ours would be cooler.

Good read, I feel the same way. Only my collection grows until I get bills in the mail. I miss a few of the ones I had the pleasure to vape.

Vapaholic here too Chris. I suggest if you are going to collect for future value to look into high end limited edition mechanical and hybrid mods.

Can I join your group ? I think I may have an addiction problem too πŸ™ .. The sad (or maybe not sad?) thing is, I vape way more than I ever smoked.. I wasn’t fully addicted to smoking when I made the switch..I made the switch so I wouldn’t become fully addicted to smoking (I still enjoyed the act of it, I just didnt want to be hooked) ..

That means I haven’t saved a dime. I spend far more on vaping in a month than I spent on smoking in a year….I have no regrets πŸ˜€

I too am a vapeaholic. Although I’ve been able to curb my vaping spending, I still find myself always browsing through the same old forums and threads hour to hour in case something different or exciting happens. And in the end, nothing really changes… New things come out, but it only tempts me to buy something I don’t really need… I’m happy with the twists and VAMO I have.

    But y’never know!

    At least it’s fun!

Great I traded on addiction(smoking) for a bunch of others like collecting mods, juices, and now I am getting in to DIY and there are a ton of different flavors to get. Eh what else am I going to with my money.

like you chris, this is also my 2nd attempt at vaping. im doing much better this time around. mainly due to the fact that there are so many better & cooler products than a few years ago (as you mentioned). if it can be easily modded or rebuilt, then im in; dont care what it is. i am still new to this, but i can see the onset of “mod fever” kicking in. safe to say ive dropped one vice (analogs) for another (modding). oh well, my lungs & body are already thanking me.

It is an addiction but not one that requires me to spend $5 a day, I can be content with what i have if money gets tight

  19. bybees3 on April 22nd, 2013 5:03 pm

While I have no desire to have a legion of mods, I think it’s great that there are so many from which to choose. Something for everyone.

  20. Donald Hammond on April 24th, 2013 9:36 pm

This is a common occurrence for many. My wife for one. I don’t think she will ever have enough.

Falling into a collector’s trap is pretty easy with vaping, that’s for sure. So much stuff, with what seems like tons coming out every week. I’m glad I’ve kinda settled into a couple pieces of go-to kit and can concentrate on loading up with tasty juice!

  22. cobaltjord on May 5th, 2013 5:04 am

    I am addicted too…..
I however feel much better about buying mod #3 now for Mother’s Day/Birthday. Thank you for helping me give myself permission. After that, I am done.

Good post! And so true. I started out with a simple auto KR808 and now have a collection. I am a low voltage vaper, (3.7) so I love mechanical mods. Have gotten hooked on the hand made wooden ones. I saw a great line on one of the ecig forums…”i used to have a habit…now I have an obsession!” That pretty much sums it up, especially if you like to “tinker” with stuff like I do.
