The Packing List. (Otherwise known as “What to pack for Vapebash?!?”)
Howdy vapor folks! So it’s been a short minute since my last blog and I thought I would start the excitement for the upcoming Vapebash and then realized this could really apply to any traveling situations. So I’m excited. I’ve been watching plane ticket prices (Vaping on a budget includes good plane ticket prices too folks! lol) and made my reservations and next I need to figure out what in the world am I going to take with me. Since we are actually arriving on Wednesday my list may be a bit bigger than most. Then again I have a 2 bag per person maximum in order to have have baggage fees so it better not be too big. Why Wednesday? Well the DH hasn’t been to Chicago before and I thought we could take a mini-vacation while we are there. And it’s his first flight…hmmm maybe I should take something to knock him out…a frying pan possibly? Anyway just a little history before we get to the essentials. We attempted to go to Vapercon back in October. Unfortunately my DH fell off our porch and crushed his face. We were going to the meet and then on to Myrtle Beach. By the time the ER sent him by helicopter to a big city ER and they decided to do nothing, we left very late for our trip and ended up at the hotel about 4 am. Exhausted and aggravated, we got up the next morning took a quick look and went on to Myrtle so he could lay down and enjoy some relaxation. (The finale of that story is we found a doctor when we got back to WV and he had some surgery about a month or so later re-breaking his face so the cheekbone wouldn’t collapse.) So we (at least I) am really looking forward to Vapebash. Now, what in the world should we pack?
I’m not so worried about the clothes and hygiene stuff…that’s a given along with my ticket, id and various forms of money. Just the vaping supplies.
Being a budget vapor, I don’t have many devices to worry about. A Vamo and a couple twists so those will all go with us. I have a few empty small bottles that I can fill with my favorite all day vapes and since I hear that sometimes the pressure of the plane makes bottles leak I don’t want to take the big bottles with me. No need to waste. I definitely want to take some clean drip atties with me so I can try some new flavors. Now here is a way to save a couple dollars. I have a few old atties used just a few times. If I take some flavor eraser with me then I can reuse those atties instead of buying new ones. A bottle is about 10 bucks. Plus I can take apart those old cartomizers from back in my beginning vape days and make a few atties if I need more. Now I have to remember batteries and the charger. Dead batteries don’t vape well. Q-tips. I use those all the time to clean that extra juice out of my tips. A couple empty clearos and maybe my carto tank. Some cards that let the airline people know it’s just vapor. Can’t be too careful. Now some people would add disposable drip tip covers so they can let other people taste their juice. I don’t know anyone so I’m not expecting someone to just randomly come up to me and say “Hey let me try that!” So lets summarize this list a bit.
- Vamo and twists (or your choice of vaping device of course)
- small bottles of all day juices
- drip atties and some modified cartos
- flavor eraser
- vaping cards
- plastic baggies to pack the juice in so no leakage
- a small pack of kleenex (I like to drip sometimes but it can get messy if you aren’t careful)
- drip tip covers (optional)
- batteries and charger
- tanks (your choice of kind)
I think that about covers it. What does your list look like? And have you ever had any trouble flying or maybe some tips about flying with vaping gear?
Have a great one folks and of course Vape on a Budget!
