So, here we are….working on this anti-analog in our life mode….2 days and counting the 3rd….and every person and patient in my world, today, received the memo….

It’s bad enough when you can feel yourself be generally agitated with all things, but when others come into the mix with their own attitudes….that is a clash ready for the Titans to interfere. Being a person that values ones’ own responsibilities, I could feel it happening and so it was important to keep myself in check. After all, it’s not the fault of the rest of the world that this monkey was climbing up off my shoulders and trying to jump on my head.

*count to ten*

*vape*

with every call, every attitude, every universe aligned screw up thrown by Mr. Murphy and his lawyers–I’m practicing the repeating mantra.  *breath vape count vape*

I don’t know if this time is the last time….but for the moment, I know that if it weren’t for double-fisting my ego batteries….I would have screamed, cried and smoked.

To celebrate, I ordered a couple of freebie goodies from the Vape For Free store [seriously, what could be better than free stuff without shipping charges?????], I’m planning on a small juice order this weekend and I signed on board for a 21 day photo challenge that is going to be part of a bigger 365 day photo project this year. Goals. I just have to remind myself that these things are better than smelling like an ashtray and feeling like crap.

Good, Keep up the good work, I’m currently on day 4 of no smokes, and it’s tough, but alot easier than quitting cold turkey.. we’re all proud of you. :) keep it up, and dont look back at cigarettes!

After almost 2 years of vaping, I’ve seen a lot of changes, improvements and sometimes just plain Weirdness. The old days of just grabbing a choke and firing it up seems so simple at times…but thankfully the Siren lost her allure long ago. And the biggest reason is because I feel so damn much better. No waking up in the morning with cogged sinuses, black circles under the eyes and a rhuemy, nasty cough. Forget that I no longer get out of breath climbing stairs, or riding my bike for exercise. It’s worth it for that alone….

Great job Dandelionwings and a good reminder to others that there are ways to deal with the cravings or the triggers. Be ready before the temptation strikes!

I recommend getting one High nic juice. One level higher than whatever you normally vape for those really tough times. Either 24 or even 36mg should take care of those tough times. just take a few big puffs and you’re all good. You can do it. It only gets easier. I don’t have any cravings anymore. Still am irritable but I think that has more to do with the 3 toddlers I have than not smoking. LOL. The one thing I do miss about smoking is having to go outside to smoke. that was my little break from the kids.

wow, many thanks to wake up to so many comments this morning—you guys rock!

@anthony—looks like we are doing this together, dude and we will share in our vaping anniversary—i’m proud of you, too! :)
@mr. maxwell, wow 2 years is fantastic and i’m very happy that you are physically in such better shape! i’ll have to keep reminding myself that will be drastic improvements :)
@dawg…i think i’m hypersensitive to everything that can possibly go wrong…trying to prepare in advance will hopefully increase the chances for lasting successes
@msv8pr—lol gurlll, i can’t imagine trying to do this when my kids were little—go you! and what a great legacy you are giving them at such an early age :)

thank you all for your support, i really appreciate it. today is already so much better than yesterday. most of my juices are 24mg and a few 18mg—hopefully, these will get me over the hurdles :)

Stay strong, you’re probably just about to get over the hump. Hopefully in a few days you’ll be feeling much stronger and those urges will go away.

I found the little things, such as getting your nose back, that followed my initial quitting to be huge boosters.

It’s very hard for a smoker trying to quit because they often don’t feel like they can share it with everyone in their life. Talking about it and getting encouragement are a huge help.

Thanks for sharing! I would agree with having a little bottle of juice that has a stronger nic level than normal for that rough day. Stay strong and Vape ON!!!!

Good job and I’m glad you didnt resort to the ciggies. I know it can be hard at first, but it gets easier. The desire for the cigarettes go away. Trust me. Hang in there and don’t let people stress ya too much.

  10. slap_maxwell on January 6th, 2013 7:01 am

being away from cigs is gonna make a big difference in all kinds of things; attitude, health, creativity…think of all the things you aren’t gonna have to STOP doing so that you can light up a choke. Awesomeness!

many thanks and i really appreciate all of the support! believe me, i feel encouraged daily by you all!

it’s one week and so far, things are working out as they should. waiting on vape mail since the most tolerable of juices are almost gone…regardless….pushing through the moments as they come…thankfully, no day has been as bad, so far, as the day mentioned in the post lol

  15. tiffjamesnjj on January 8th, 2013 1:37 am

i figure if i can do it, after 10 years of smoking, and doing it on accident, then almost anyone can do it when they put in effort and have this great support system called ECA :)
