Crooked or Culture?

So it was only a matter of time before the vaping culture and the drug culture began to try to mesh. If you dig around long you will find several instances. Some of this comes down to science. What can be used to do what. Many questions have to be asked going into this conversation. How do these instances affect vapers? Will the government come into play on it the same way it did with synthetic pot which was given many code names. Then the personal questions come into play. Are you a 420 friendly person? Are you just gonna sit back, watch and see what happens, perhaps even using the technology of vaping with your favorite mod, to also use this new found idea to partake in herbal remedys. The best example of this technology is the “The Triangle”. An RBA  that is made for dual coils, has a drip splash guard with holes in it,and also comes with an ego punch thing which you can take off.

So, I already one of these and then was informed by someone that its all the rage out west, and I was like, wuuuuut? SO I went into this like MacGuyver. Made 2 coils without wicks and got all built. The overall all conclusion is if you built the wicks really really good and run it at HIGH voltage it will work.

So that brings me to some juice…..

or  shall I say Organic Vaping Tonic. This came from a place called Holi Smokes.

The thing about this stuff is that is says….just in the same way synthetic pot said incense this says massage oil on it as well as vaping. The company makes this as well as 4 other flavs…

http://www.holismokes.com/

So, its thick, white, and has smells of lemongrass and menthol. This one according to the site is the chatty one. So, I dripped it, vaped on it, the taste isn’t great. Is their something to it? 2 people say so. I however would like to try the others.

SO what does all of this mean for vapers? How do we each take this? What do you think of it all?

    I’m old-school. If I want green I get green. ‘Nuff said. :-)

fully back when a dime was a dime

I understand the reasoning, but frankly i think copying the flavors of herb, would be harder than tobacco. They vary so greatly that i think its would be better to just stick to the real thing.

  4. dandelionwings on January 31st, 2013 12:17 am

if legalization became a reality, then we wouldn’t have to worry about this issue. but i don’t think there is anything that we can do about the two being mixed up

  5. TheCrookedOne on January 31st, 2013 2:33 am

I feel the same as Slap….
Yet, now some good bubble gum hash might just be a winner :)

  6. slap_maxwell on January 31st, 2013 5:17 am

Unless you can catch a little buzz, it would be kinda like drinking non-alcoholic beer, wouldn’t it?

    Bubble-gum hash… lolz

  7. Erik G on January 31st, 2013 5:34 am

Yeah I have thought about this since I started and I can see it being a real concern. Seems like it could become a fine line between the two.

  8. Anne Fincher on January 31st, 2013 5:57 am

I saw that stuff on a site. I know I wouldn’t want to vape that stuff but to each their own. I have seen alot of ego style batteries used for herbal vaporizers, I don’t think they should be in the same category.

  9. crystalt64 on January 31st, 2013 5:59 am

HUH, it’s funny that you wrote on this i never knew of all this as i am new to the vaping world but the very first thing i thought when i got my first set up was “how many people are going to figure out a way to use this for other means???

  10. hallucinoJEN on January 31st, 2013 6:14 am

I have nothing against pot. I used to smoke a lot of it back in the day, but if it’s tied to vaping, it can spell trouble for our ecigs. The ANTZ will have a media frenzy proclaiming ecigs aren’t just getting our kids hooked on nicotine, but now, illegal drugs. It’s an uphill battle just trying to get acceptance for use with nicotine. Getting drugs involved will make it downright impossible.

  11. Aaron on January 31st, 2013 8:30 am

Ecigs better not be banned in the future due to this. I don’t smoke anymore because of my job but they can use a regular vaporizer. don’t use an ecig, come on.

  12. Patthib on January 31st, 2013 9:19 am

Personally, I don’t care what others do, and I don’t care what people think I am doing. Doesn’t really affect my life either way. However, I really do hate to see it being made more public for herbal use, this early in the vaping game. I mean, we are just starting to get the positives of vaping known to the world, and this is going to close the door to even more narrow minded people.

  13. Amanda on January 31st, 2013 12:01 pm

    U know how I feel

  14. TheCrookedOne on January 31st, 2013 2:43 pm

All jokes aside . Cats have been using vaporizers to ingest solid hers for YEARS….This is not a new thing…..Nothing under sun!!
I personally do not see Actual Cannabis offensive, evil, etc…..
Don’t think we have anything to worry about….
For The Times They are a changin

  15. jimpo42 on January 31st, 2013 3:01 pm

My worries are that some PVs already look like drug paraphernalia and if using them for that becomes mainstream honest vapers are going to suffer for it.

  16. brock pollard on January 31st, 2013 3:28 pm

    exactly jimpo

  17. brock pollard on January 31st, 2013 3:29 pm

  21. Aaron on February 1st, 2013 9:23 am

I do wounder about this juice though. I would like to know what is in it.

  22. Flux83 on February 1st, 2013 11:31 am

Intrasting, I dont see the harm, pipes that are sold in stores now are for tabbaco so they can be sold.

  23. TheCrookedOne on February 1st, 2013 2:29 pm

Weird juice….I vape for nic purposes…..
Being an honest vaper , well I guess I am..
Only ejuice has been vaped thru my mods…..
Now for my 76 Volcano…well that old beast is HONEST as well!!!!

  24. NocVision on February 1st, 2013 4:00 pm

No thanks. I think this is may be too much.
I don’t smoke herb anymore & I don’t plan on vaping it either.

…but if I WERE to be interested in this, I think I’d just smoke the real thing.

  25. brock pollard on February 1st, 2013 4:42 pm

pic would be a cool tatoo

  26. Chad on February 1st, 2013 7:55 pm

not for me. vapor joe made a video and said he wouldn’t vape it. Likened it to “rancid semen” in appearance and smell. Wondering if it works though. Sounds like some K2 variation. Regulating the amount of chemicals would be difficult, and one could find themselves very f’d up if they did not shake to proper chemical distribution.

  27. brock pollard on February 2nd, 2013 5:35 pm

    i really am confused

  28. Flux83 on February 3rd, 2013 8:35 am

That pic would make a cool tattoo atleast the style.

  29. tiffjamesnjj on February 4th, 2013 6:40 am

kind of pisses me off, because when a cop asks me what i have in my hand, he wont just be asking b/c he is curious, but because there might be drugs in it….

  30. Amanda on February 4th, 2013 1:09 pm

    i feel ya

  31. GhOsT DoGg79 on February 4th, 2013 1:20 pm

I can understand why some people are pissed, and why some people dont even care.

  32. GhOsT DoGg79 on February 4th, 2013 1:20 pm

and yes, that would make a nice tat lol

  33. brock pollard on February 4th, 2013 5:23 pm

gettin this as a tat not exctly

  34. mrcrunch08 on February 5th, 2013 3:41 am

I’m with Slap on this one. I’d go for the real thing. Anything synthetic has it’s risks and never perfectly replicates the real thing like some of the crappy juices that try to use completely artificial ingredients for a natural fruit flavor. They have had vaporizers for pot ages ago. Does anyone remember the volcano? That thing made trash bags full of vapor. This is just another bad light on ecigs and onther reason for the fda or government to step in.

  35. Brian Addison on February 5th, 2013 7:16 am

I’ve seen the vaporizers and herbal liquid online as well and it is very disappointing that some people will be vaping this stuff and give real vapers a bad name . This can only be a bad thing for us. We are facing regulation in the near future and giving the FDA ammunition like this is just what they are hoping for. I know why I switched from analogs and it wasn,t to find a new way to do drugs, it was to hopefully live longer and be healthier. Just say no.

  36. GhOsT DoGg 79 on February 7th, 2013 1:30 pm

I can tell you the juice is a no go

  37. GhOsT DoGg 79 on February 7th, 2013 1:31 pm

    it is terrible

  38. Amanda on February 7th, 2013 1:31 pm

    It smelled horrible as well

  39. Amanda on February 7th, 2013 1:31 pm

Both in and out of the bottle i would like to add

  40. The Crooked One on February 7th, 2013 2:11 pm

Synthetic anything is strange….Hope it is not like the “Bath Salts” and vapers start chewing each other up for culinary purposes…I for one don’t need the government to tell me whats bad and what isn’t

  41. Dai on February 17th, 2013 12:58 am

Given that HOLI SMOKES has nothing in it but FDA approved flavors and certified organic VG, why would one associate it with cannabis or ‘bath salts?’

George Bouton’s review is honest and intelligent:

  42. RCO67 on February 18th, 2013 12:24 pm

This can’t be something that is good for you. Having had friends that were full blown addicted to the synthetics, I also think it could have the potential to be quite dangerous.

  43. saboinia on February 18th, 2013 4:02 pm

herbal vaperizorors are basocally pipes…and should not be in da same catagory as oil vapes or e ciggies…..i bought a herbal vaper once thinking it was an e ciggy and i was soo pissed i could only smoke pipe tobacco out of it

  44. Karla Lyle (MsV8PR) on February 20th, 2013 3:05 pm

I don’t see how this is any worse than someone putting caffeine in ejuice. All the stuff in it is FDA regulated for consumption than anything said about his product could also be said about ejuice. What is the difference. There is nothing synthetic in it? I don’t see it as a drug or anywhere on the same level as bath salts or incenses that people smoke as fake weed. Those are not approved for consumption. Those are chemical people use for an unintended purpose. They were not meant to be put in the body. These are perfectly legal. I don’t see any relation at all. Just because it says massage oil. Herbs have been known to be used as massage oils for ever so what makes that bad?

  45. Karla Lyle (MsV8PR) on February 21st, 2013 3:17 pm

I do not personally see how this is any different than teas that have herbs that have a calming effect and so-on. If the FDA doesn’t come after tea manufacturers that have these same herbs why would they come after them for vaping those same herbs? I do not see a difference. I do not see anything wrong with this.

  46. slap_maxwell on February 24th, 2013 5:37 am

So what are the ingredients in this line of liquids? I couldn’t find any information on the site….

  47. DemonFire on February 24th, 2013 5:46 am

They aren’t listed slap. That all by itself…legal, legit, perfectly fine for consumption, or whatever, always makes this girl a bit nervous. Just for allergy sake alone. True you may not know every ingredient in juices. But most of the time you know the majority of them.

  48. bybees3 on March 11th, 2013 2:08 am

It seems to be a pattern. Everybody pays when a few use things they were not intended to be used for… Many allergy meds have been taken of shelves because some use them for drug making. They’re trying to take our guns because kill people with them. Now this! Does it ever end???
