Trying to wrap your own coil around some wick and your don’t have three hands. It is very difficult  I looked in to buying a set of extra hands with a magnifying glass they are selling it online for over $20 and only has two hands. So I decided to make my own and for less then $10.

Here’s what you will need

4x alligator clips

4x 8 inch Solid Wire Strips

Magnifying Glass

2x3x1.5 block of wood

Wood base

Nails

Pliers

Hammer

Drill

Staple Gun

of course staples

1 Attack the small block to the base using the nails

2 Drill hole on the top of the block for the magnifying glass and attach the magnifying glass.

3 Attach wires to the clips

4 Staple the wires to the base using staples and then hammer down the staples and wires to the board.

5 Enjoy!!!

    thats a brilliant idea. great job. my one concern is, how much weight can those wires hold? sometimes i have semiheavy parts to solder.

    Quite a bit It can hold up my eVic with a a full Vivi Nova 3.5 ml tank with a metal drip tip and a iphone 5 with otterbox case. yeah so quite a bit.

    The glass is at a bit of a angle but it could have a bit more.

    Thanks for giving everyone some ideas to run with. probably all of us have something laying around that could be re-purposed into some ‘helping hands” for those tedious rebuild chores! :-)
