When you hear the words “smoke free” and you imagine how amazing it would be to quit cigarettes, you would most likely hop it on. However, there are a few people I know who I tried to help and they just said they liked regular analogs. Whats the deal here?..Does anybody want to quit anymore? I can guess why!

This friend in particular said he tried an e-cig already, One he bought at a gas station.

Is it just me? Or do e-cigs that look like analogs tend to use a different connection than 510s to keep you coming back for more from they’re own company? I can understand why, profits. There’s nothing wrong with that. By going universal (510 etc) they would be putting themselves out of a lot of business unless they are the top dog in the area, or the most popular online. Lately between me and my friends, The Evic has been out topic of discussion that will bother a lot of other e-cig manufacturers. You can check out this bad boy here.

It seems pretty nice.  If i had the cash i would not hesitate to purchase that beast.

Anyway, when i first started Vaping i was over at my friend CJ’s house. He ordered from Apollo eCigs and got himself an extreme kit, At the time, The E-cig was pretty new on the market, But i decided to give it a try..  The flavors weren’t that good, There was only a selection of 5 of them.. And he got me a free disposable one. It was pretty nice. I then ordered myself an extreme kit, and had many problems with it since i purchased it. (Battery malfunctions, etc.) which they would replace for free, thankfully. That was the best part. The only thing I’m upset about is the connection.

The connection they use appears to be a standard 510, However, I cannot get a battery on it. The connection for a 510 Carto sticks out the end of the carto itself, yet the battery has a 510 thread sticking out too, Making this thing a REAL hassle. You can only use Cartos from them. It’s still this way as of today i believe,a nd it’s a hassle. Anybody who buys a kit now-days is stuck with that little problem. From now on, when i try to refer somebody to a smoke free life, I will be showing them mods. An ego C, Twist, Or VV. Mainly because it works in different ways. It’s more versatile in the Vaping industry, and it’s affordable!

Thanks for taking the time to read this semi-rant. This is my first blog post. I hope i didn’t do anything wrong.

disposable ecigs along with all of the other ecigs are proprietary products where the companies determine the battery threading—i think most of them [but definitely not all of them as i've tried several] are an 808 thread. 510 threading isn’t universal threading, it’s just a rather common thread and more and more products are made to use them. i think the main thing is that a lot of the disposables were hitting the market at the same time and made by different companies. —but i agree with you, if you are going to be introducing the equipment, introduce what you feel to be the best information to help them have the best chances for success :)

It would be nice if everyone would agree on a universal threading…. most all industries have some standard fitment when it comes to connectors, wiring, etc. But this industry is still very much in its infancy…and these days, with everything *almost* always either 510 or eGo threaded (or both), I see that day coming sooner rather than later.

i hate proprietary connections. They plain suck.

You can buy a 106 to 510 connection and that will fix that problem. I also bought from Apollo and had the same issue They suggested I get that connection, It worked

Never was a fan for the analog looking ecigs at gas stations… Thanks for the postz)

Universal threading would be great, but until everyone gets together, which isn’t likely to happen, youjust have to be careful.

I had the same problem with the mistic brand ecigs. They used their own version of a 808 thread and all 808 cartos would stick out or angle funny.

those e-cigs at gas stations are not good at all…. i keep 1 in my car just in case…. sad that people think that is what e-cigs are….

most connections are switching to 510. You find a few here and there that aren’t, but frankly, if is is not a 510 connection, i don’t want it (with a few exceptions).

Yes….gas station ecigs are a waste

The only good thing about gas station e cigs is that I found my favorite flavor. It was a disposable barfly Blue frost menthol, and man that was the best tasting thing I have ever smoked. Vapage makes them and they also make e juice called blue frost.

They should hire whoever adapted THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA….actually, maybe not. The movie is quite sweet compared to the book, and it took the sting out of the tale.UUUUmmmmmm who to make this?
