Empire Mods delivers amazing customer service even on Christmas morning.
A few days before Christmas I decided to purchase a VAMO and really wanted to go with gunmetal. VAMOs were everywhere online, every site had them, so many different prices, and very few had gunmetal. I could have went anywhere. I could have purchased a VAMO from any vape dealer online, I chose to purchase my VAMO from Empire Mods. Empire had the black chrome in stock, I knew the ECA code Keith had given us and was fully aware that my black chrome A7 RBA was going to look fully sexy sitting on top of that VAMO. Christmas time gift cards were burning a hole in my vape wallet and I made my order.
As any vaper does I was watching the email, the tracking numbers, and the USPS site like a hawk. According to USPS.com my VAMO was going to be here on Monday, Christmas Eve!! I was going to wake up Christmas morning, throw some Kringles Kurse in my A7 and watch my kids…freakin A! Christmas Eve we got home very very late. I checked the mail and had several different items including one from Empire Mods. During this time is a frantic, chaotic, deep snow filled, 4 wheel drive escapade to get a Leopard Gecko (now named Yoda) and his entire Leopard Gecko living arrangement from my mother in laws house to my house without my 6 year old knowing, seeing, or suspecting. I finish the reptile quest full on, level up and gain some XP. As I am about to back to my mother in laws house to pick up Mrs. Ghost and the Ghostlets I see the Empire Mods package laying on my bed. Hell yeah I’m gonna open it and have a peek at my black chrome VAMO, this wont take but a second.
As I tear open the package I am somewhat like Ralphie opening his Little Orphan Annie decoder pin. I can hardly contain myself. Later tonight I am going to be rockin a black chrome VAMO….what the hell is this?!?! This is NOT a VAMO, it’s gunmetal but not a VAMO. Damn… I gotta go pick them up. I’ll look at this more when I get back home. So, I go pick everyone up and come home and start inspecting this mod. What I have in my hands is the VV-T 18650 V2 in gun metal. Basically its a lava tube or a lambo. A very nice mod. Very sleek, shows your current voltage as well as your Ω, and also your battery life. I like it, it looks wonderful with my gunmetal A7 on it, however…this is not a VAMO. At this point I am very upset, but know there is not much I can do right now and it will be awhile before things are corrected. However I decide to go ahead and email the sales department at Empire Mods on Christmas Eve…at like 11pm…and tell them about this.
So….Christmas morning rolls around and I am vaping Kringles Kurse in a red T3 on a red Twist. Around noon I hop online and there it is, a reply from Empire Mods. I was expecting it to be an auto generated we got your email type of reply, but I was wrong. Keith at Empire Mods had emailed me back on Christmas morning. Firstly that blew my mind. Now, I was expecting to be told how to begin the process of sending back this gunmetal lambo, pay shipping, wait, get my vamo, eventually. I was wrong. Keith apologizes to me, and makes it fully known that he intends to take care of this ASAP. I am told to keep the black chrome lambo and that my VAMO would be mailed Priority on the 26th. I was like “Wuuuuuuut?’ I was truly shocked. Keith also told me he would be tossing in a black chrome contoured drip tip to match my A7. Later that day as I sat and reflected on this I thought to myself that is pretty badass, I decided to spend one of my $20 cards at Empire and get a shirt. Actually I got a shirt and a Cowboy Skull drip tip. After this I will gladly wear a shirt.
So, on the 26th I get an email with shipping info from Empire and a tracking number and as usual I am watching it like a hawk. So a few days go and on the 28th I believe I get a package from Empire. I am ripping into this package like a lion and a fresh carcass. Clawing my way through tape, bubble wrap and envelope to get to the sweet sweet vape related merchandise inside. FINALLY I AM IN!!!! Inside I find my black shirt and cowboy skull drip tip I ordered, a gun metal contoured drip tip to match my A7, 2 XTAR battery cases and at long last my gunmetal VAMO. Sweet, sweet sweet lil baby jesus. Finally…
I proceed to play with all of my stuff and try everything I possibly can on the VAMO, and then I finally settle in with my gunmetal A7, my new tip, and Zeus by Poseidon Vaping the way I had intended a week prior. At that moment, all is good.
From that moment up until now Keith and I have chatted some and I will tell you the reader as I have expressed to him, I have never experienced customer service as epic as that. I have had time to reflect on my experience, as well as think about the experience of him. This man, and this company replied to my email on Christmas morning, and continued to converse via email with me. He also whole hearted apologized and went above and beyond to make it right. He told me to keep the mistake and then he went out and mailed the VAMO on the day after Christmas, now I am sure he had other stuff to mail that day but still lol. So, I am told to keep the mistake, here is a free drip tip and some battery cases, and you don’t have to pay shipping on your shirt and Cowboy tip since I am shipping the VAMO priority anyways. Seriously man? Have you EVER had customer service that epic?
So, next time you need a battery, or should you want to try an RBA (I suggest an A7 or a Triangle). Maybe you need a badass drip shield that’s unlike anyone elses. Awesome story Ghost. You know I’ve been happy with the few vendors I’ve dealt with. I do price comparison shopping like many of us when I want to buy something, but I also have that feeling that I’d rather pay a couple more bucks to get something from a vendor I already know and like, or a vendor with a good reputation.
I haven’t dropped any cash at Empire yet, although I had plans to eventually. Hearing this story gives me a great impression of their business. I always value customer service, and dealing with all this stuff coming from China and the various changes that happen after release makes it even more important to have a vendor that strives to give you the best service.
You know it seems right now with the massive amount of vendors out there that it’s a huge business. I’m sure plenty of them are doing all right. But I think in time we’re going to see the cream separate and some of the weak ones disappear while the good ones will rise to the top.

That is so awesome. I really wish i’d have splurged and got the a7 and triangle when i used my card from them and spent some REAL money with them. After hearing this, I’m definitely gonna throw them some business. Do i need a triangle or a a7? Absolutely not, but i’m gonna order it anyway just because i don’t have it, and i want them to get the business. I’ll probably do that after i get paid friday. Thanks for sharing Ghost. getting a response on Christmas Day, sadly i expect that kind of service nowadays from most places… times are tight, small private businesses are hurtin’, everyone is working 24/7 to get and keep the customers…
still, though, it’s good to know they are working that hard for what they get, as much as i like to say everyone is working 24/7, there are a lot of people that just don’t have that kind of drive doing bad business even in this economy… thanks for the heads up…

Good Post.. The vendors nowadays really go that extra mile to make us happy. And that’s how the sell us on being a returning customer. There are so many different companies and vendors and often it is hard to choose between them. These extra things and dedication are the decision breakers

I had a similar experience with Good Prophets, ordered on Friday after midnite, and got it in the mail on Monday! I almost bought a pack of cigarettes. Rob responded to my email questions and I after much agonizing over what I could afford and deciding between pink or stainless… I ended up getting an eGo Twist!!! And then proceeded to have problems with the charge only lasting 2 hrs, shorting out my atomizers/clearomizers. And I finally sent it back, even after their 1 month policy, they reimbursed me right away. I like that in a company, very good response and good customer service!

I need to add this. I received my order from empire mods the other day. I ended up spending like $5 from a 2 dollar over hang on a item plus shiping.. When i opened my package, there was a anodized black drip tip in there. Now, granted, this drip tip was a 3 dollar drip tip(a really nice one i might add), BUT its AWESOME he did this. He was already not really making but maybe 2 dollars off of me, because the rest was from the gift card contest here on eca, but he ended up throwing in that drip tip so its really like my order was COMPLETELY free. HOW MANY PEOPLE WOULD DO THAT? Seriously, that small sentiment made my day. Keith, you guys are really awesome, and i will totally be ordering from you guys when you have things i want. Thanks so much for your brilliant customer service.
