So I was playing around with trying to make a dual coil for my Vivi. So I thought instead of running two coils inline instead I weaved the wire between the two sets of wicks also used non resistance wire to run to the base. So the idea is that with the coil between the two sets of wicks. Its reading at 2.4 Ohms so not as low as I wanted but for two coils its not bad. If you plan on doing this use a 30GA wire to add support to the wicks and then use solder to hold them together. Good luck and enjoy!

Hmmm, seems like an easier way to run dual coils than previously mentioned tactic and putting 2 separate coils together
    How is it working out?

Interesting idea, gives you the larger surface area without the parallel resistance. Let us know how it’s vaping.

Building your own is very easy. I have only been vaping for a few weeks now. I got my wire and silica from ebay, you can also get cotton thick string or cotton yarn from arts and crafts store.

I like a higher resistance anyway. How is vapor production?

  20. Donald Hammond on February 9th, 2013 9:57 am

I would think this would cause a lot of hotspots?

I’ve seen this done a couples times before. What wicking material are you using? In the picture it looks like plastic O.o
