A Small Step
I got up and walked 2 miles this morning. That may not seem like a big deal to you, but to me it was. I couldn’t have done it last year. I might not have been able to do it 3 months ago. This morning, it was easy. I’m fat, but amazingly, I’m not as fat as I was. Now you’re probably asking what this has to do with vaping, well I’ll tell you. Since I started vaping, I can breath again. Now that I can breath, I can move and now that I can move I’ve dropped 20 pounds (amazing) in the time that most people are gaining weight from their effort to quit smoking. Yep, I lost more pounds than the average person gains when they quit smoking.
I don’t think I’d ever realized how much my breathing was effected by my smoking. I know that as time goes on it is only going to get better. It is still early, not even 3 months of no cigarettes, but every day gets a little easier. Today was 2 miles, I’m hoping soon it will be 3, then more. My goal is to run a 5k. It was such a simple thing. I ran out of cigarettes and made the decision that day to just use an ecig. I’m glad I did. I never thought I’d make the other changes that I have, but they’ve been made. One little step, pick up an e-cig. Who knows what other good decisions it will lead to.
