Stog releases the Stasher, a new ultra-slim PCC
Stog’s new charging pack called the Stasher seeks to simplify portable vaping with the slimmest design we’ve seen yet.
A representative from Stog.com told Ecig Advanced the following in regards to their goal with the Stasher:
The Stasher was designed to give smokers a low maintenance way to transition to “vaping”. We wanted a case about the size of a cellphone that would safely store a fully assembled Stog Classic, extra filters, and also charge a spare PCU.
Our Stasher gives smokers the same portability and convenience they’re used to with their tobacco cigarettes. Smokers may now save money on tobacco tax and eliminate countless chemicals resulting from combustion; it’s all about making a bad habit less intrusive on your day to day life.
We couldn’t agree more. Making the transition from toting around a pack of smokes to toting around all of the “stuff” that comes with electronic cigarettes can be tough. At right around the size of an iPhone, the Stasher will make a big difference for new or space-conscious vapers alike. Particularly for those who like to carry their gear in a pocket, it feels like nothing compared to more bulky and “boxy” PCCs used with 510 thread or other batteries.
(Note: PCC is an unfortunate acronym meaning “personal charging case” which will be used henceforth for lack of a better one)
The big news is that the Stasher has the same features as the best PCCs with just about half the width. While we’ve seen other slimline PCCs in the past, like the popular slide and top-open models for KR808D-1 batteries, this is the first we’ve seen that allows space for charging, an assembled e-cig and extra cartomizers. The pack also has a quality feel, with a soft-touch finish and a sturdiness that has lacked in other slimline cases we’ve reviewed.
The front face features a charging indicator that shows the packs life and glows red when charging. The decrease in size doesn’t seem to have effected its usefulness either, as the Stasher will charge a Stog battery 3-4 times before running out of juice.
Currently the Stasher is available as part of the Classic Stasher Bundle from Stog, which includes two batteries, ten cartomizers, USB and wall charger and the PCC for $94.
And while the price of entry is higher than others, the Stog is one we’ve recommended time and again as a great transition product and an all-around top quality mini. The addition of the Stasher improves our overall opinion of the kit, adding a level of portability and comfort that we haven’t seen before. Needless to say, it’s pretty stylin’ too.

I will say that I do love the case. It is a great addition to a great product that is also compatible with blu, volcano and safe-cig micro carts. However, I give the case 4 out of 5 due to the difficulty of screwing in and unscrewing the battery. The battery sits a little too low and you have to remove 1 of the carts in order to get your fingers in there. Being much thinner than other PCC’s, I think battery life of the charger may be lower. From full charge, 1 battery charge left the case at half charge. I will retest this though as I can’t remember if this was a second battery that I charged or not. But regardless, the case should charge at least 3 batteries. The light on the battery stays on while charging. It goes out at around the 2 hour mark, but the case LCD is still red so still charging. Looking at the battery, the tip blinks rapidly (mind you not the whole tip, it’s like a little dot flashing). But it does that for half an hour, so a full charge is around 2-1/2 hours from the case.
I think they can improve on the design by having the lid opening further and raising the charging jack so the battery sits a little higher making it easier to screw in and out.
Otherwise, I really love it. It was definitely worth the purchase as a kit and the carts taste great too.

Hi Matt, you’re right on! The Stasher does charge at least 3 batteries. The “flickering” you see after the two hour mark is the Stasher switching to a trickle charge. Also, we don’t advertise this, but you don’t actually have to screw in the PCUs to charge them. You can simply drop it in the charging bay, close the case and set it charging. The only thing with that though is you have to be careful if you open the case while it’s charging as it can slide out pretty easily.
Hope that helps!

I have been smoking over 50 years and if it’s not too late I would like to try and give them up, or at least cut way back. I have done much research on e-cigs and my choice is narrowed down to your product and Blu-convince me as to why I should go with you
!
I tried the disposable from Blu and it satisfied my smoking urge (no real cigs for two days), but I did not like to the taste-plus it made be hyper. Probably too much nicotine (I smoke lights). Hope the taste of your tobacco is better!
Also, what is your response to this quote I found on another web site:
” Electronic Cigarettes are found to contain an anti-freeze component known as Diethylene Glycol. It is toxic to humans and can cause health worries on inhalation. This is one of the major Electronic Cigarette side effects.”
Thanks for any input!
Love your web site by they way.

hey joe i know your concerns with Diethylene Glycol may be a bit offish, but the fda released that without full information, its only in parts per millionth, i am a pro vaper, built my own variable voltage mods, bought vv units, have ego, the 510 style shorties, and about all of the kr batts, ive dabbled in many different delivery methods, and i mix my own fluid, its safe to say i vape all day. this is a great site, you should also check out mad vapes, but really do allot of research, the fda did another test with nicotine and non nicotine e cigs and showed that the nicotine e cigs, caused throat irritation… well thats what nicotine does, and they tried to ban them more or less because major tobacco companies were beginning to lose money. a few large companies have purchased rights and have designed their own e cigs and are available in certain areas but not online for some reason… either way, its safe, even with really high nicotine levels, if you find nicotine levels to be too high, try and restrict your vaping time and how you puff, its hard to gauge how much you have vaped when quitting cigarettes, and unlike cigarettes, these dont shrink to tell you, “hey, your break is over.” so do your research, keep extra batteries, and cartridges/ cartomizers. you dont want to be caught without niccotine, it was the hardest thing about switching for me. mad vapes will give you the most variety in nicotine levels in their fluids, but some times you need to let them air out a bit because the flavor will be off, but they also offer various sizes of fluids. honestly, check youtube, there is so much info out there about e cigs. personally i hate blu, they almost turned me off of e cigs completely. they in my opinion are way overpriced and have garbage cartos that only last a few hits if you can ever get consistency, but they may have changed since i messed with them, either way, i wont try them again, im very happy with my ego and vv mods. best of luck to you, the first two weeks are the hardest, the three month mark has a rough patch too, just seek encouragement from loved ones, it really helps bro. do yourself a favor, if you drink at all, get a nicotine strength thats about 3x more than normal it really helps kill that cigarette and beer combo. ~bones

I would love to have one of these. Sometimes I like the complete feel of an analog and having it in a pack is better.
