In a press release today, Safecig has announced two new electronic cigarette product lines in collaboration with the Seminole Tribe of Florida: Seminole Unconquered and Safecig’s new Aurora line of disposables. Ecig Advanced’s Matt Olmstead spoke with Joshua Krane of Safecig this week on these new product lines. Click play below to hear the interview (17m).
The first, the Seminole Unconquered will be sold through Seminole casinos, smoke shops and online. Seminole Unconquered as of now will be sold as 3-packs of disposable e-cigarettes and single pack e-cigars. This new line of disposables will also be sold by Safecig as the Aurora line. The Aurora boasts a very high puff count (120) in combination with an extremely lightweight, cigarette-like design that has a softer feel to the outside of the cartomizer, allowing the user to hold it in their lips like a traditional cigarette. The Aurora will come in at $29.99 for a 3-pack with a launch-time sale price of $24.99.
It’s exciting to see this partnership launch with the Seminole tribe, providing even more outlets for the power of e-cigarettes as an alternative. It will certainly also be of interest to see how successful they are in the casino setting over other traditional settings like drug stores and gas stations. Towards the product itself, the Aurora/Seminole Unconquered sounds like another step in the right direction in terms of building better transition products. Lately we’ve seen trends in the disposable e-cigarette market toward developing higher performing units (like the Firebrand Powerbolt) with a design that better fits the smoker’s expectations in terms of tactile experience (like the NJOY King). We’re excited to see how the Seminole Unconquered and Aurora perform firsthand while emulating the smoking experience, making that transition even easier than it already is.
