Pennsylvania State University is looking into electronic cigarettes and needs current users to answer a variety of questions. The survey is designed to gain an understanding of why individuals use electronic cigarettes, what types and brands they use, and what associations can be made between electronic cigarettes and other tobacco products and health problems.
The survey can be found here. We encourage our readers to participate — the more information out there, the better for the e-cig industry.
The survey doesn’t get too far into health or medical concerns focusing mostly on issues attributable to the use of electronic cigarettes. Still, more information is more information.
The ultimate focus of the survey isn’t completely clear. Although a lot is asked about urges to use, much seems more focused on just how knowledgeable e-cig users are of their devices and how settled they are on a particular brand or style or product.
For many of the more enthusiastic hobbyists among the electronic cigarette community, it might be refreshing to see a survey ask about the resistance, milliamps, connection types, and batteries of their preferred product. It is a bit unexpected when most researchers seem to view e-cigs as a singular design and purpose with no variety beyond e-liquid flavor.
Again, you can take the survey right here… and you should.
