Local Radio Host Discusses Inclusion of Electronic Cigarettes in KY Smoking Ban
Recently, Matt Olmstead of Ecig Advanced was a guest on the Matt Walsh show (630 WLAP.) The topic of discussion was a pending smoking ban (HB 190) in Kentucky that includes electronic cigarettes.
The conversation revolves around the arguments that have been presented in favor of their inclusion. Specifically, that electronic cigarettes are dangerous to your health (and others), and that their similarity to cigarettes would complicate enforcement.
You can listen in below. The legislation comes up at 3:50, with Matt coming on at 8:00.

I don’t know how it can be said that ecigs are dangerous when it it repeatedly sited that not enough tests have been done to say they are or are not. Granted more studies should be conducted but preliminary studies have shown that ecigs are safer than smoking tobacco. It’s premature and alarmist to be enacting bans.

Great job with your comment, Matt!
I don’t care for cigarettes anymore since switching to vaping. I can smell smoke from a mile away, but at what point do we stop controlling people??? It is simple. Let the business owners decide whether or not they want customers to smoke. If you don’t like, it quit spending your money there. If the business owner loses enough money from people who don’t like being around a smoker, then it’s evident that the business owner will change his policy. Let your money do the talking….not the government.

I agree with RC here. Preliminary testing has all been in our favor (with the exception of the old FDA one that found antifreze in 1 of 20 juices) I think its all bogusness.

When e cigs are doing so much good, how can people even think about banning them? That is just ridiculous.
