This was my first impression of the long awaited Lavatube 2.0! I was a fan of the original Lavatube’s performance but some problems with build quality kept me searching. Volcano has completely re-engineered the Lavatube and brings to you the Version 2! Here is a video with my first impressions:

After passing the Lavatube 2.0 to Matt(Fazed) he added some wonder insight to how this device actually works and performs. Here is Matt’s Video:

Thank you for the review, I have been wondering if I want to get a bigger better mod.

Nice review, but I think I will stick to my mechanical mods.

Great reviews. As far as the lag in button action and firing action, I’d have to think the delay (both start-up and release) is probably because the capacitors which are part of the timing/pulse width circuitry need to initially charge and then discharge. The firing button obviously isn’t inline with the current path to the coil like a “normal” fixed voltage unit, so when the button is released, the circuitry continues to operate until the capacitors discharge.

Love this mod! I got a black one running with a ViVi Nova and one of there 3000mah Batteries. After running a few tests I found that the Battery works VERY well with the Lavatubes pulse width. I was getting better reading with the 3000mah than I did with my AW 2000mah. To bad it is so hot right now, I wanted a 2nd one in gray, but it sold out day 2 I think.

… must be a good piece and a good price, it seems to have all the features it needs and Volcano is sold out on them at the moment… this the new gamechanger?

Good review Matt. Hope you get to keep it.

Its nice to see they improved the body style cause the old one was just so flimsy. Bottom cap falling off and finish coming off within a couple of days of use. I am at the point I wont buy any new model PV unless it hits a version 2 so they can work out the bugs now.

I really like this but i checked the website and all they have left is the pink models.

It is definitely a ‘handsome’ lavatube now and looks really well built and sturdy, if i was a man, I would indeed upgrade my chrome lavatube to this version.. Given I am a woman, petite at that, i feel, with the exception of the pink color, that they completely did not think of us when making this version.. Guessing they have or will soon realize this fact given the only ones left in stock are PINK ones that some of us woman are not buying due to the manly size of this thing, could be some of us do not like pink too i suppose…but perhaps they will make it up to us by maybe making a mini version of it!!! other than this overlooked issue, the V2 is awesome looking though..
