Playboy model turned actress and activist Jenny McCarthy is making an appearance in electronic cigarette company Blu’s latest marketing endeavor. She joins the list of mostly 90’s-centric stars who are promoting electronic cigarettes to the middle-something smokers out there.
You can check out her extended promotional video focusing on Blu’s new starter kit right here.
McCarthy joins Stephen Dorff and Courtney Love in the obvious efforts by e-cig companies to appeal to 30- and 40-somethings without looking like they’re going after teens. Granted, anti-smoking fanatics will say that these promotions target teens. We still find that a little silly.
Someone 18 now wouldn’t have even been born yet when McCarthy was Playmate of the year. They would have been 3 when Blade came out in which Dorff had perhaps his best known roll. And they would have been 4 when Love’s band Hole was nominated for a best rock album Grammy.
What 90’s star do you think an e-cig company should use next? Seinfeld? Carrot Top? That kid from Jumanji?
