Evidence Of Marijuana Use With E-Cigs Growing
A report from Fort Myers, Florida indicates that cops there have found teens using electronic cigarettes to covertly consume marijuana. The report provides very little real evidence, but interviews a few people on the topic.
An electronic cigarette store owner shows a bit of concern about the issue as it could mean tighter restraints on her business for something that is otherwise out of her hands. This is almost reminiscent of debates as to whether stores could sell items largely used from illegal drug use as long as the items have a legal excuse to be sold.
This is decidedly different from the situation with stores selling glass pipes and water bongs — which are predominantly used for illegal drugs no matter what the stores claim to sell them for. E-cigs, on the other hand, are predominantly sold for legal nicotine use. It’s the minority of buyers that choose to use them for other things.
Still, it seems likely that this will be used as an excuse to nail e-cig products with yet another road block to free sale and use. The strongest evidence that the report could provide was a video from Youtube of a young guy showing people how to “alter” an e-cig for use with marijuana.

Despite stating that police had found teens using electronic cigarettes for marijuana use, there wasn’t a direct quote or interview. Again, the bulk of the story is Be worried about this because you can’t prove that it’s not happening!
