The Aqua Vapor EGO Starter Kit comes in a tank or cartridge style electronic cigarette, unlike the two-piece kit that I have reviewed by the company in the past. The product comes packaged in a black, square box, with the brand name and logo on the outside. The inside is packaged in two layers. On the top layer, you will see that the kit comes with two batteries, along with heat protectors. On the bottom layer, you will find the USB and wall chargers along with the manual.
Battery/Responsiveness: 3/5
The battery on the Aqua Vapor Ego Starter Kit was outstanding! It lasted for a little over a day at a time for me, and when I was charging the battery, I could use the other one that comes in the kit as my back-up, so I never went without smoking. The Responsiveness was not an issue as it’s a manual eGo battery. The battery gave enough power so it produced thick, vapor with each draw. I was really impressed with the battery overall.
Vapor/Flavors: 5/5
As mentioned earlier, the vapor was produced in thick, smoky clouds that were very satisfying and realistic as a previous smoker. The flavors offered with the Aqua Vapor Ego Starter Kit were phenomenal. They definitely have the most original flavors that I have seen and tried so far. For instance, the product has a Rbull flavor that is very comparable to the energy drink, Redbull, which I have never seen with an ecig before. They also offer blueberry, multiple tobacco flavors, menthol, and many many more. The array of flavors only added to the satisfaction with the vapor that was produced by the Aqua Vapor Ego Starter Kit.
Overall: 4/5 (Not An Average)
Overall, I was very happy with the Aqua Vapor Ego Starter Kit. It was a very exceptional eGo battery product, and I would definitely recommend it to any one interested in trying out e-liquid. The contents were packaged well, the battery life was great, and the vapor and flavors were outstanding.
The Nicstick 510L Elite Pro is a three piece ecig consisting of an atomizer, cartridge and battery. The look of the cig is black with a blue lit tip and flat headed cartridge giving it a classic yet futuristic vibe. The kit comes with two batteries, two atomzers, charger and five cartridges all presented within in a black cardboard box elegantly decorated with the logo emblazoned in gold and a decorative filigree border embossed around the edges. Not too terribly extravagant but very regal in appearance.
Battery/Responsiveness 3.5/5
Depending on how well the cig is assembled the draw and vapor production is very easy, however if the cartridge isn’t inserted correctly it might pose a little difficulty. You have to make sure the tip is securely connected with the polyfill touching the atomizer other wise you’ll meet a little frustration on your first draw. The battery has a substantial amount of power to last some heavy drags and it charges fairly quick. Personally I’d like it to last a little longer but it does what it needs to do.
Vapor/Flavor(s) 3.5/5
The Nicstick comes in a variety of flavors such as tobacco, coffee, menthol and my favorite “Horsepower” which tastes like an energy drink. The coffee and Horsepower are, in my opinion, the most delicious that the Nicstick has to offer. Their tobacco flavors have very pleasant taste as well. The Turkish blend and regular tobacco flavors are smooth and mellow and are delightfully realistic. They have another tobacco option called the “USA” blend. This one unfortunately leaves much to be desired. The taste is rather harsh like that of a tire fire. The throat hit for that particular flavor doesn’t compensate much. I find it to be a little weak. A good throat hit could help overlook the taste but unfortunately that one didn’t deliver.
Overall (Not An Average) 3/5
At a glance the NicStick hints at lots of promise considering its elegantly styled packaging. What’s inside definitely won’t disappoint. It has plenty of flavor variety as far as flavors go, although the USA blend is not the one I would recommend. The Horsepower is definitely one worth trying. If you’re a fan of energy drinks you’ll fall in love with this one.

By looking at any of Volcano’s products, it’s not hard to tell they have the art of presentation figured out. They keep it simple here, with a short square box brandishing a straightforward, appealing logo. The assembled unit (battery, atty, heat shield) is one of the most polished (literally and figuratively) eGo unit designs you’re going to come across. If you look at other eGo kits out right now, it’s not hard to tell that other vendors are following Volcano’s lead here.
Battery/Responsiveness 5/5
The Inferno’s purchase value is remarkable and it’s because of the batteries. The kit comes with two eGo batteries, but few other kits pack this much power into their kit at this low of a price. With the kit you receive two different batteries, one being an impressive 1000mAH battery (roughly 1.5 times the battery life of a standard eGo battery) that will last for days. While it’s quite a monstrosity, minimizing size and weight really isn’t the point of this type of product. And it will honestly keep up with some mod-market products that are the size of a medieval weapon. The other battery is a standard 650mAH eGo battery with the kicker in an added USB passthrough. So if you’re really up against it for battery life, you can just plug right in and go with no need to wait on a charge. With these two batteries it’s essentially impossible to run out of power and for the price- it’s a steal. Being manual batteries, the responsiveness is always there. The button itself has a good feel and LED and it never stuck as some eGo batteries can from time to time. The kit also comes with a battery button cover to keep it from activating when you don’t want it to.
Vapor/Flavor(s) 5/5
It’s hard to do justice to the vapor/flavor category here in the confines of this review, so be sure to check out Volcano on our Vapor Reviews as they’re posted. Volcano offers an insane 29 different flavors of liquid or “V-Liquid”. Almost all of them taste exactly like the flavor their name suggests- “Mauna Dew”, “Kona Coffee” “Vanilla Bean”. Some certainly weren’t for me and others shot right to the top of my favorite flavors. Of course with so many different liquids, you are bound to find those you like and don’t like. They all have satisfactory throat hit and big vapor though, as their liquid is a mix of propylene glycol (flavor & throat hit) and vegetable glycerin (big, viscous vapor). Towards the Inferno specifically, they give you plenty of options as far as enjoying their liquid. The kit comes with either a drip-tip, (liquid is dripped directly onto the low-resistance atomizer, giving stronger throat hit and flavor) or refillable tanks (liquid reservoir is pierced by atomizer, allows for extended vaping without dripping). And if you can’t decide or simply don’t want to, you can order both types for a little more. In the past, I’ve rarely been a fan of tanks, but these ones are at least very user-friendly and no-mess (no needle-tip nozzle required). I’d still personally recommend the drip-tip as I’m willing to sacrifice the inconvenience of dripping for the increase in flavor and throat hit. Volcano also has all sorts of cartomizers and clearomizers you can buy separately to go with this kit, so the options for vaping experiences with one kit are numerous here. The Inferno also comes with a 15ml bottle of liquid, which is more liquid than you’ll get at no extra cost from most vendors.
Overall (Not An Average) 5/5
While it may seem like I’m trying to impress upon our readers that the Inferno is literally the best e-cig ever made, that’s not my purpose. The number of options here are both great and potentially intimidating. So while it’s definitely an awesome buy for the hardcore vaper, at the same time somebody who has never used an e-cig can pick it up and with a read of the manual, be ready to go. Overall, what you’re getting here is maximum performance at the sacrifice of size and a little simplicity. Volcano certainly understands what some customers want and is giving more of it to them than anybody else. In terms of performance, this value is very, very tough to beat. So if you don’t mind a larger and more complex e-cig, read a little beforehand (hopefully I’ve helped in that capacity) and you’ll be in vaping heaven.
The South Beach Smoke Deluxe kit features has received an update, though the packaging remains the same, employing a glossy black background with some luminescent graphics on the standard magnet flap box. The logo and graphics have the feel of South Beach, bringing to mind busy nightlife and leisure. I’ve never been a big fan of the SBS graphic design though I’m certain some will find it appealing right away. The box features a “New & Improved” sticker and on the inside, where it counts, it has received some real improvement.
Battery/Responsiveness 4.5/5
The improvement to the battery here is big in terms of both performance and presentation. Their new battery is still a KR808D-2 like all previous SBS kits, responsive and long-lasting. And now it’s been modified to run at 4.2 volts, rather than the standard 3.7 or less of most e-cig batteries outside of mods. I didn’t run it through a volt meter to verify this but I didn’t feel the need to- the difference is extremely noticeable. It runs much hotter than previous SBS batteries and probably all other mini e-cig batteries, giving better vapor production and changing, sometimes improving the taste of the SBS cartomizers which I’ll elaborate on next. My only small gripe with the battery used here is that it’s a little wider and heavier than it needs to be but this comes with the benefit of longer battery life, roughly 3-4 hours here with heavy use. In terms of presentation, the new battery features a crystal red-lit LED which just looks really cool compared to the standard plastic cap LED cover of most e-cigs. They’ve also employed added their full logo on the side of the battery (it was previously just the “O” of “Smoke”) and it looks surprisingly good.
Vapor/Flavor(s) 3/5
The cartomizers seem to be the same as they have been in the last couple versions of the kit but they are certainly improved by the increase in power with the SBS battery. The vapor production with South Beach Smoke has always been pretty good and now it’s moved into great. In terms of flavor, I found the SBS flavors to be certainly different and sometimes better using their new battery. Their tobacco flavor tastes much better at this higher voltage as does the menthol. The coffee and the vanilla were certainly changed by the higher voltage but I couldn’t say for sure that they were “better”. Most of the time, an increase in voltage running through the battery will bring the flavor of e-liquid “out” a little more and distinguish it. But the SBS flavors have always seemed a little bland to me, so I felt that the battery improvement here is still held back by the unimproved e-liquid, resulting in less than impressive flavor. Though if you haven’t liked SBS flavors before, this new battery really does change the flavor and may be an improvement, depending on your own tastes. For me, the tobacco is certainly a standout from the bunch.
Overall (Not An Average) 4/5
The South Beach Smoke Deluxe Kit has received some serious improvement to the battery. And a 4.2v battery in this class of product isn’t just unique- it’s unheard of. I have plenty of admiration for SBS in making strides to improve their product, especially in ways that other companies can’t or won’t. With some improvement to their flavors, this kit could be one of the best available and for right around $60, it’s still a good value as it is.
The Aqua Vapor was packaged in a small magnetic drop box, with a very “corny” use of branding. The box had black and grey stripes with a branding symbol that was supposed to be an “A” and “V” (I assume). The contents were packaged individually within the box, and I did not find a manual that would help explain how to use the product to a beginner. For example, I am not a beginner, but the flavored cartomizers were very confusing in trying to figure out how to apply them to the battery to change to a menthol flavor. The product came with a USB and wall charger, and I am a huge fan of the USB. It’s very accessible and convenient for travel. Over all, I was disappointed in the presentation and packaging
Battery/Responsiveness 2.5/5
The battery had a fairly decent life. It seemed to last on average for around 3 hours, at least, before needing recharged. It had a cheap, “plastic-y” feel to it, which made me feel like I was smoking on a toy. The sensitivity of the battery was also decent at best. It took a deep breath to get a satisfactory amount of vapor from the product. The Aqua Vapor’s responsiveness wasn’t as sensitive as most of the other products that I have tried in the past, and therefore I wasn’t very satisfied.
Vapor/Flavor 2.5/5
The Aqua Vapor produced an abundant amount of vapor which I was very satisfied with. The only throwback to this was that it took an excessive inhale to get just the right amount of vapor out of the product. The vapor was very realistic, however, and looked like actual smoke in the air, as it lingered for a few seconds after each exhale. The flavor of the Aqua Vapor was fair. With the classic tobacco flavor, I didn’t think it was the best flavor I had ever tried, but it definitely wasn’t the worse tobacco flavor that I had ever had.
Overall 2.5/5 (Not an average)
Overall, I wasn’t very happy with the Aqua Vapor. It’s branding and packaging seemed corny to me, and it was confusing to assemble other flavored cartomizers to the battery when I wanted to change flavors. The battery had a decent life, but it wasn’t sensitive enough for my taste. I was satisfied with the vapor, and I thought the flavor was ok, even though it had room for improvement. If this was the first e-cig product that I had ever tried, I don’t know if I would still be an electronic cigarette fan today. Luckily, there can be improvements made, to enhance the Aqua Vapor to make it stand up to the other excellent products out there on the market today.
The Aqua Vapor DSE901 is a medium sized sleek little number sporting black on black stripes and standout white lettering. The logo on the front is somewhat modern and tribal at the same time. While the box is not large – like a cigar box – it is also not pocket sized. It would fit into a large handbag or backpack, but nothing smaller. Its also one of those “trick” boxes – it looks like a cover that the box slides out of, but is really a magnetic closure type of box.
Battery/Responsiveness 5/5
The battery for the Aqua Vapor ECig is about the same size as a regular cigarette with a life of around 3 hours. It looks unusual in that it has a button on the side that engages the battery. Don’t push the button – don’t get the vapor. This was a little uncomfortable at first and took some getting used to since you couldn’t hold the ecig as you normally would and smoke. The ecig was also very reminiscent of the Roaring 20’s as it utilizes a tapered mouthpiece. It reminded me of an old black and white movie where Greta Garbo was smoking the foot long cigarette in the black mouthpiece. The packaging included a USB charger as well as a wall charger for easy accessibility in recharging the battery. It takes about an 2 ½ hours to completely recharge the battery using either method.
Vapor/Flavor 4/5
Once you remember to push the button, the vapor was outstanding. The longer you push it, the more vapor. I was very impressed with not only the amount of vapor, but also the flavor. The flavor was comparable with a regular medium flavored cigarette. Since the cartomizers were extremely small (enclosed in the mouthpiece) and the ecig itself was 3 pieces, I expected to lose flavor and vapor and was pleasantly surprised when this didn’t happen. The cartomizers, though small, packed a good punch and lasted longer than some of the other ecigs I have sampled.
Overall 4/5 (Not an average)
The AquaVapor Ecig is something I think I would like to own. Although the box won’t fit in a pocket, the charger will. The solid black, 3 piece ecig looked sophisticated and smoked like a dream. This one is definitely worth the cost.
The Volt ECig packaging is vibrant and compact. The package entices you to try the product by using bright colors on a black background that screams energy. It’s simple but still has a good appeal and you expect a great e-cig just by looking at the package.
Battery/Responsiveness 5/5
The battery for the Volt comes in a short or a long version, I tried the short ones and they still had a good life of around 3 ½ hours. The great thing here is the pocket sized case that contains the charger. It is a slide-open, cell phone looking case that you can charge ahead of time and take anywhere. It’s a lot more slim and portable than other charging cases. It takes about an hour to recharge your battery in the portable case and about 2 hours to completely recharge the case.
Vapor/Flavor(s) 3/5
After seeing the package you expect to be knocked down by the taste, you expect a hard-hitting, Marlboro Man flavor. I found the Volt cartomizers to be lacking in the strength of the flavor. Some may like this more smooth or mild flavor though. In the same way, there’s not a whole lot of throat hit here either, which is more of a matter of preference. On the other hand, the vapor was magnificent. When exhaling you had as much or more vapor than you would expect with a regular cigarette. If you like a milder flavor and a milder throat hit, the vapor production is definitely here and enough to keep any smoker satisfied over their cigarettes.
Overall (Not An Average) 4/5
The Volt Ecig carries through on the promise of its packaging through battery life and vapor, but comes up a little short on flavor. I love the charging case, it’s portable and unique. With some improvements to the strength of their flavor, the Volt could be an awesome e-cig.
The Aqua Vapor 510 One is a two piece ecig with cartomizer and manual battery. Kits come with wall charger, usb plug and the ever handy charging pack. The charging pack has a nice sleek look, basic black with a neon green logo reminiscent of a Type O Negative album cover which is a plus for me. The pack holds five cartomizers, battery and another plus; a a slot that holds an assembled cigarette. The only downside is that the lid will not close all the way with an assembled cigarette inside. Depending on how particular you are about that sort of thing, it can be easily overlooked. What it lacks in that area it more than makes up for the easy organization and portability as well as a handy meter that displays the battery life of the pack.
Battery/Responsiveness: 3/5
This kit had a manual battery, of which I was not a fan. The button on it is particularly large and protruding but on the a manual battery conserves battery life. After several draws through out the day however, I feel that for a manual battery it could have lasted a little longer. It seemed to die after a some heavy draws over the course of few hours but again it has a handy charging pack which seems to charge quickly and since it comes with two you’ll have one on hand at all times. The charging pack itself is quite excellent. It retained a charge for several days after quite a few battery rotations. The draw is not too bad. It makes a bit of pop with a new cartomizer once you start but the pull isn’t too hard and it produces a nice heavy vapor.
Vapor/Flavors: 2.5/5
The flavor of I tried was a tobacco. It has subtle undertones of tobacco but it could stand to be a little more. The taste is still noticeably artificial and a little bit like the smell of a fog machine and once the cart starts to run out the artificial flavor becomes more abrasive. If you’re the type that likes to milk your cartomizers for all they’re worth, I wouldn’t recommend it. You’ll be quick to switch to a new one once the flavor runs out and the aftertaste kicks in. But if the regular tobacco doesn’t tickle your fancy the Aqua Vapor does offer the refillable cartomizer and a variety of liquids and of course there’s always menthol. As far as throat hit goes, it is smooth but not too sharp. It’s good for those who prefer a more mild sensation.
Overall: 3/5 (Not An Average)
Overall I give the Aqua Vapor 510 a 3 out of 5. The packaging and portability of the charge pack makes it convenient and attractive, all though there is the minor flaw of the lid not closing all the way. The battery is dependable but the flavor leaves a little to be desired but it satisfies none the less.
