Presentation & Packaging 4/5
The Vapor King comes in a square, black and blue box, that incorporates a great use of branding on the outside lid. To open the box, you just simply take the lid off of the top, to reveal the inside contents. The inside is packaged in two layers. The top layer has the batteries lain out on a foam backdrop, which you can lift up to reveal the bottom layer of the packaging. The bottom layer contains the USB and wall chargers, as well as five Tank Cartridges in which you put the liquid in to smoke. Another plus of the packaging is the carrying pouch that is provided to place your Storm Vapor King in for travel. It can be placed in your bag, or pocket, which makes for a very accessible smoke. I have given the product an 4 out of 5 on its packaging.
Battery & Responsiveness 4.5/5
The battery offered is a very short and easy to hold eGo-T, a manual battery that’s a little bit larger than the bigger cigarette sized e-cigs. It is rated at 650mAH and it stays charged for significantly long periods of time. The battery lasted me at least a day at a time before it required a recharge. The combination of battery life and use of tanks make this very convenient for busy people who don’t have time to stop and recharge/refill throughout the day.. Normal puffs produced large amounts of vapor with that “throaty” hit that you get from smoking real cigarettes. Usually, I’m not a big fan of manual batteries. However, manual batteries do have their pros, as they can reduce unnecessary firing and save battery and e-juice. The battery also had a lock feature which kept the device from going off in my pocket.
Vapor & Flavor 3/5
I was very impressed with the amount of vapor that was produced from the Storm. It definitely stood up to its name of being the “Vapor King”. Unfortunately, I only tried one flavor with this kit. I didn’t particularly enjoy the tobacco flavor that I tested, however. The flavor produced could be compared to that of a fog machine at times. It wasn’t so horrible that I couldn’t smoke it, but it wasn’t realistic and satisfying either. I would give the vapor a really good grade, but the flavor brings it down a bit. Then again, a lot of companies can do a good job on anything but a tobacco flavor. Maybe if I would’ve had a chance to try some of the other e-liquids offered, I would’ve had a different or more positive reaction to the flavor.
Overall 4/5 (Not An Average)
Overall, I was satisfied with my first-time-experience with an e-liquid based electronic cigarette. The Storm Vapor King was packaged and presented professionally, the battery lasted long and the vapor produced was more than satisfying. There could be a little work on the flavor, but other than that, this was a good product.
No.7 E-Cigarette Micro DIY Cube

Presentation/Packaging 3/5
Much like it’s original two piece counter part the No. 7 Micro DIY comes in a classic gray decorative box. This one is three-tiered and it’s very much like a miniature dresser drawer set, probably a bit cumbersome to lug around but it’s still both fashionable and functional. It’s a nice little piece that you can set on your coffee table and it would go well with any decor. Each drawer houses the different components of the e-cig. The first is the battery & atomizers, the middle drawer contains the bottles of flavored e-liquid and the third holds the blank carts and charger. It has the same white body battery but unlike the original with the brushed on filter appearance of the cartomizer, these blank carts are the dull orange round tips. They are not quite as attractive but luckily they can be stowed away in the tiny dresser set. Refilling the carts is like refilling any other by removing the rubber cap and dripping liquid into the small polyfill stored at the mouth end of the cartridge.
Battery/Responsiveness 3/5
The battery life of the No. 7 DIY performs just as well as the original kit I reviewed. It has an excellent battery life that can withstand several drags through out the course of the day on a single charge. Once the battery dies a mere forty five minutes is all it takes to get running again. As far as responsiveness and vapor production however, the drip kit can take some getting used to. Depending on how much liquid is used the amount of vapor and pull can vary. I found that going over the recommended amount of drips that the kit suggested seemed to get better results.
Vapor/Flavor(s) 3/5
The flavors of e-liquid I tried were the classic tobacco, apple and blueberry. Much like the original I preferred the fruit flavors to the classic tobacco. The flavor of the tobacco was still too subtle for me and it had that artificial taste whereas the apple and blueberry at least tasted like how they were supposed to taste. The drip kits also pose a problem for me in that I can never seem to get enough liquid in it to get a nice strong flavor, plus it seems to run out too quickly between refills. I also found the throat hit to be a little weak but hat can vary depending on nicotine strength and liquid volume. Not all drips are created equal. Depending on how well you fill the carts can greatly affect the intensity of the flavor and throat hit. You can always get a different type of liquid too if you’re not getting the results you’d like.
Overall 3/5 (Not An Average)
The battery alone makes this a great e-cig. It has longevity which is good but having the carts run out is just as bad as having the battery die. Luckily this kit comes with tons of empty carts that you can prefill and have ready to go. The carts have plugs and can neatly be stored in the three tiered dresser box set. The flavor and throat hit could use improvement but again that can vary depending on how good you are at dripping as well as the type of flavor being used. Overall, though the price here is a bit steep, this kit has long lasting battery and steady supply of empty carts, making it an easy but satisfying way to get into using e-liquid.
No.7 Square Micro

Presentation/Packaging 3/5
My personal impression of the No.7 packaging is that it’s trying too hard to look nicer than it is. Like a knock off Coach bag, it appears to be pretty nice until you really dive in and start noticing details. The box that the kit comes in is way too large and bulky for a standard 510 ecig with 2 batteries. The refill cartomizers are stored 2×2 in plastic tubes, and it just seems to be a lot of wasted space. A positive in terms of presentation is in the inclusion here of a nice-looking PCC that works well and features a removable battery.
Battery/Responsiveness 3.5/5
The life of this battery may be its saving grace, as it certainly lasts all day. That’s usually to be expected with a larger style battery such as this though. I wasn’t sure if it was an issue with airflow in the connection but occasionally I had to drag harder than I would’ve liked to. Though the power it gave to the cartomizer was more than enough to get it going right away.
Vapor/Flavor(s) 3/5
The amount of vapor produced by this kit was less than spectacular, but still enough. Although there are many comparably priced and designed products on the market that may outperform. I wasn’t overly impressed with the flavor itself either, as it was a little artificial and a little weak. The menthol didn’t have the typical cooling sensation one would be used to, the throat hit is on the mild side here as well.
Overall 3.5/5 (Not An Average)
I feel that if a little more time and money was put into product quality over trying to have a flashy exterior that there is promise to be had. Sometimes a flashy box is all it takes to sell a product if it’s on a store shelf somewhere, but it’s truly what’s inside that counts. Perhaps my expectations were too high based upon the appearance and that’s why it felt like a bit of a letdown. Regardless, it carries a moderate price tag, functions well enough and has a nice PCC, so it’s still a decent investment for the beginner.
Volt E-Cig Sealed Automatic Battery Review

This is something a little different form what we’d normally do, but we felt that this product from Smokeless Image (part of their Volt line) warranted its own review. It may seem a little silly- it’s just an automatic battery, right? Well, it’s a sealed automatic battery which is something that we haven’t really seen before in the e-cig world, especially in this class of products- mini or micro batteries. Smokeless Image has essentially taken their KR808D battery used in the Volt and modified it to be impervious to damage from e-liquid. Automatic batteries traditionally have a hole right in the center of where they contact the carto/atomizer which allows airflow to activate the sensor and turn the battery on. Unfortunately, this makes them very susceptible to destruction by e-juice leaking through and into this hole. With this battery, that hole is gone and likewise gone is the danger that liquid can enter the battery- just like a manual battery, while preserving the automatic function.
If you’ve been dripping e-liquid in a unit with an automatic battery, there’s no need start panicking that your battery may be dead. However, dripping with an automatic can be risky as it’s not that difficult to suddenly kill your battery, especially if you get a little crazy with your e-liquid. If you already drip into an automatic KR808D unit like the Volt, Bloog, Halo, Vapor 4 Life and so on I would highly recommend picking this battery up for that purpose alone. You’ll be able to use all your same cartomizers or atomizers in an automatic function and do it worry-free. While doing the demonstration in the video, I used this battery with a cartomizer that was absolutely flooded, and the unit wasn’t damaged in the least. I wouldn’t recommend trying that at home just for fun though either.
Overall, this is a nice addition to the Volt kit or any KR808D unit/system, especially if you currently are or want to start using e-liquid. And it’s only $12.95, which is a fantastic price for a battery of any type. Our applause goes to Smokeless Image for providing this simple but thoughtful innovation.
Smoke Revolution VGO

Presentation/Packaging 4/5
The Smoke Revolution VGO Kit comes in a small black box with a weaved matte finish and the simple “Vgo” logo bearing the tagline: “For high quality and life enjoyment”. They’re definitely keeping it simple here but the box comes with everything you need to get started with an eGo, including a leather pouch to carry the assembled unit. It would’ve been nice if they got a little more creative with the box but it’s really a non-issue, it’s simple but appealing enough.
Battery/Responsiveness 4.5/5
I’m a big fan of the eGo, it’s a reliable, long lasting manual battery that works well with a variety of vaping methods. Smoke Revolution’s rendition here is as inexpensive as these eGo kits come. For $54.90 ($64.90 Tank Kit) you get a 650mAH standard eGo battery and a 900 mAH “SUPER” battery. Needless to say, with these two batteries you’re going to have plenty of power that lasts. Even if you’re trying to vape yourself into oblivion, these batteries combined will last you for more than a couple of days. The skin of the battery has a similar weaved matte design, coming in black or red. The cones snap on over the atomizer, which is nice a touch and much easier than having yet another piece to screw onto your unit. It does feature a very fancy diamond button, which adds a touch of class or “bling”. The button has no locking feature but the kit does ship with a cover piece, so it shouldn’t be an issue if you keep that handy. My only other gripe here is that their batteries don’t feature a USB passthrough, which is becoming more commonplace or expected out of these kits. Not that you’d necessarily need it (two eGo batteries are hard to kill) but it’s nice to know it’s there, just in case.
Vapor/Flavor(s) 3.5/5
Smoke Revolution gives you a few of options here to vape up their liquid- tanks, drip tips and cartridges. Some people love cartridges, I’m not a big fan of them, they look and feel cheap and usually cost more than using liquid. For me, it just makes more sense to either refill a cartomizer or just use the drip tip (dripping onto the atomizer). I didn’t get a chance to use the tank but I’d assume it’s pretty similar to many of the other eGo-T type models available, so that’s definitely your best option for most vaping without having to refill. They also offer refillable cartomizers that you can get in addition.
Smoke Revolution’s e-liquid provides plenty of vapor and decently strong throat hit in either cartridge, cartomizer or drip tip form. The Vgo ships with a low-resistance atomizer which gives you improved performance over standard resistance as well. Smoke Revolution’s flavors were a little hit-or-miss for me. The tobacco, chocolate and menthol were pretty bland. On the other hand, the vanilla, strawberry and were easily recognizable and good, though they have something of a candy-like artificial flavor to them. They also have their Hovana, a cigar flavor that made up for the lack of flavor in the other tobacco varieties. If Smoke Revolution were to improve these flavors that fall short and work on that candy-flavored taste in others, they’d have a pretty great set of liquids here.
Overall (Not An Average) 4/5
The Vgo is definitely worth the money in terms of batteries and atomizers employed here. Their e-liquids could use some improvement but if you buy the kit and don’t love the liquids, since it’s an eGo you have the option to easily go to other liquids a little more to your liking. Although you could be impressed with their liquids, as taste is so subjective. They also have some of the most readily identifiable liquids I’ve tried, when you try the banana- you really know it’s banana. So with some improvements to their e-liquid and the way the product is presented, this one could top the charts of eGo kits available. Overall, the low price here is what makes this kit stand out already.
